Abstract: The park electric magnet is an important part of the marine engines. When failure occurrence, it affects parking and the safety of the crew. This paper introduces the principle of park electric magnet, and analysis of failure causes of a marine engine park electric magnet. Improvement scheme was proposed and the experimental verification was completed.
