Abstract：A comparative analysis on the mechanical and heat transfer properties is made between copperbased brazed oil cooler and noncopperbased brazed oil cooler. The heat transfer performance and reliability of them are analyzed through experiments. The manufacturing process, economy and market application of the oil cooler with different brazed materials are also analyzed. The results show that copperbased brazed oil cooler is superior to noncopperbased brazed oil cooler in mechanical property, heat transfer property, reliability, process property, economy and market application, which provides a certain reference for the design of oil cooler for internal combustion engine.
